Pastor Jim Cook is co-founder of Shepherd's Heart Ministries International in Melbourne, FL which he co-pastors with his wife, Arlene. He is ordained Apostle and Pastor through Christian International, founded by Dr. Bill Hamon.
Pastor Jim's apostolic nature is found in the building, restoring, and governing of the various aspects of the ministry. The elements of the apostle are active and found in the DNA of the anointing carried by Pastor Jim. He oversees The Encounter – a local church expression committed to touching hearts and changing lives through authentic relationship to God and to one another. He has David's heart of worship and often leads the worship team at The Encounter with clarity and vision of his prophetic call. Pastor Jim is a gentle yet mightily spirited apostle of God with an ability to hear God. In addition his responsibilities include an international worship and speaking team, pastoral counselling and mentoring, as well as community outreach.
His heart is to see us freed from the shackles that chain us to the past. He believes that negativity and false beliefs prevent us from moving forward to become the person that God created us to be. Pastor Jim is passionate to see us walk in God's design for our lives. He has a father's heart and desires to provide a truly safe place for us to take risks so that we can become trained and equipped to walk into our true destiny.
Pastor Jim has chosen a bi-vocational career path, working not only in the ministry but also in the marketplace. He believes that everyone can effectively touch the people that they come in contact with whether in ministry or the workplace.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Liberty University, as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration. He is currently preparing his dissertation for the completion of his doctorate in Leadership and Education.
Arlene Cook Prophetess & Pastor
Like many of us, Arlene spent years not knowing her true identity. Life taught her to silence her voice, to perform well, to smile at all cost and to hide her pain and her struggles in order to be accepted. In spite of what others perceived as a “perfect life” sadness and hopelessness tainted her days. The struggles and conflicts of her heart caused her to seek answers in the One who had touched her heart with such intense love at the young age of 13. Through years of seeking and through God-ordained encounters, she has experienced healing and deliverance that have taken her out of woundedness and into peace through fresh revelations of the True and Living God. Her desire is to help others be set free of their own pain and suffering.
Arlene’s prophetic calling comes through as she walks in her destiny under the anointing and gifting as pastor, teacher, counselor, worshipper and lover of Jesus. Her call is to equip women, men and children so that they can mature into the fullness of who they are created to be- realizing their true identity so that they can fulfill their calling and purpose.
Exemplifying the compassionate heart of the Father, she deeply impacts the lives of those she touches with His love. He has blessed her with the unique ability to see the precious jewel in each person she encounters. Her obedience and ability to key in on the desire of God for hearts to be fully developed in His love is one of the greatest aspects of her ministry.
Arlene and her husband, Jim, are founders and Senior Pastors of Shepherd’s Heart Ministries International Inc. in Melbourne, Florida. She has served on Local and Area Aglow Leadership Teams for over 20 years and has spoken and led worship in Aglow Community Lighthouses and Retreats. She has been the keynote speaker at several National Aglow Conferences in Colombia, South America.
Pastor Arlene has a Associates degree in Graphic Design, a Bachelors in Organizational Management and a Masters in Ministry.
